My Artful Cup of Java today: morning routine & flower fairy
Morning routine! Ah.
Always started with 8 deep breaths while opening my arms parallel to my shoulders (as taught in the Bon tradition of Kum Nye, the Tibetan yoga), and then I do my morning prayer (equals to around 15 minutes of meditation), and then I treat myself with a hot mug of black coffee (many kinds from all over Indonesia, different coffee each morning), then leafing magazines and books for inspiration, and then making new sketches.
After that, it’s cold shower with fragrant soap (a must), getting pretty and walking to work. Passing by the traditional market on the way, buying cassava cakes for breakfast at the office. Thank God for cassava. Since I found out that I had leaky gut and had to avoid gluten, it’s my go-to food.
I mostly draw intuitively, sometimes I didn’t know what would come up on the paper, and somehow, I just let my hand move and decide itself. And this morning, a flower fairy appeared!
I feel most productive when I do my morning routine. I feel like having plenty of good energy, I think I could sketch faster and the walk-to-work feels lighter.
Do you have your favorite morning routine?
PS: the printable coloring page (A4 size, PDF format) will be available soon in the new free member area (under construction, to be ready around christmas – it’s a present! :))
